What does your software do?

Our software starts by removing the single greatest source of pop-ups: adware. It cleans out all the adware, and then works in the background to keep adware from installing itself covertly. In addition, it works with your browser to block pop-ups. Between these two functions, the majority of your pop-ups should be gone.

Where do pop-ups come from?

Pop-ups are sometimes generated by adware, which is software designed to plaster your screen with as much advertising as possible. Some pop-ups are generated by sites you visit, and can usually be blocked. The root cause, of course, is that companies advertise, and some of them are not as picky about types of advertising as others, and want exposure at any cost. Pop-ups are incredibly cheap, compared to traditional advertisements, and so are used by companies on shoe-string advertising budgets.
